Wonderful accommodations

Easy check in and out and a nice comfortable kings size bed. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. I would stay here again!

The sofa is horribly uncomfortable. Needs to have another chair in the room. Also needs a new shower head in the shower.

Modern Ilikai 16th floor Harbor Studio

Great icemaker, shower etc.
Laundry facility very close on same floor which was handy.
Property Management company responses were prompt and professional. Suggestions:
Would be nice to have written instructions for tv in unit. When I enquired, electronic instructions were given promptly which was good.
Needed more wine glasses in unit (there was only 1 so I bought 2 more for the unit).
Lots of cords in front of tv could probably be hidden by an inexpensive cabinet (would make it more pleasing to the eye).
When we requested new pillows they were dropped off promptly. Pointed out a couple of things at the time which I’m sure will be looked after given how well they responded to other requests.
We went out for most meals but it was nice to see air fryer in unit.
Empire Steakhouse was really good for Happy Hour, lunch or dinner. Great view on top of the Ilikai.
Walking distance to Ala Moana shopping centre and other places (walked down to other end where zoo is).

The unit is as described, but the shower is showing its age. The vents and vent covers in the shower and the kitchen need to be thoroughly cleaned. It would also have been helpful to have safety procedures, fire exits and check out details included in the info binder in the unit. We had some minor issues with the wifi, and the service to resolve this was friendly and prompt.These are small things that didn't impact our enjoyment of our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

For the price, this is your best bet for a Waikiki vacation rental. We were in Honolulu for 10 days dropping our daughter off at the University and getting her settled, so we needed to watch our spending, but also wanted a lovely place to stay with a view and this was absolutely perfect. We will for sure stay again!

New huge king bed was very comfortable, the decor sleek and very peaceful. The view is overlooking the main ala Moana surf breaks which suited me as I wS up before dawn to go and surf.
Every detail had been meticulously attended to and communication was almost instant ( we are from NZ)
I would definitely book this again over any others in the Illikai -

The things I seek when vacationing in Hawaii is the location. I like to wake up and sit on the lanai, with a full view of the ocean. It is a must that the rental is walking distance to the beach, restaurants, stores, and shops. We did not rent a car and took Uber when needed. Other amenities I seek is a full kitchen, air conditioning, free WiFi connection, hair dryer, extra towels, laundry room (on the same floor), and believe it or not, I also make sure that the flooring is Not carpeted. That is because we (my 9 yr old son and I) are always at the beach and bare floors are much easier to clean.
Rental is walking distance to the Friday night fireworks show behind the Hilton. A nice touch it had was the coffee packets.
Not much of a big deal, but some things I’d recommend is updating the cable channels, iron, kettle (water did not get hot), and shower head (water pressure too soft); also would be a nice addition to have beach chairs and umbrella, and towels. Aside from that, I really enjoyed my vacation. I’m extremely satisfied with this rental and can’t wait to visit again.
In summary, this rental is well worth the price. It is exactly as advertised. This is a place that you wouldn’t mind spending time being indoors. It’s clean, bright, spacious! You will not regret it.
